I don't see a l...Very good post about big data. I don't see a lot of people with the cross section of skills you describe. My guess is that the future will be an even more intense search for people with multiple skills (such as Statistics and Economics), even more so than now. Leonard Bernstein (the orchestra conductor) once said that the best way to learn one thing is in the discipline of another thing. Big data will push that type of multi-disciplinary learning to levels never seen before. The business world is waking up to people who have multiple skill sets, and are not just an expert in a single area. These people will be the highest in demand in the near future, based on how things look at the present.<br /><br />It's going to be quite a ride to watch, and even more enjoyable to be on the ride.
