Dark Side of Incentives

I don't know that I agree fully with this essay, titled "The Dark Side of Incentives," by Barry Schwartz (author of Paradox of Choice), but I do think that its thought provoking and worthy of consideration. I recommend taking a look.

I am the Trustee Professor of Management at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. I joined the faculty after serving for six years on the faculty at Harvard Business School. My research, teaching, and consulting focuses on leadership, with a particular emphasis on decision-making and teams.
